You all beter watch out :-) I'm going to cross the big ocean again on 8th december :-)
We're going to Washington for 5 days , and then to New York until Christmas day.

Last time we visited America we went from Florida to New Orleans and back again in three weeks.
We had a great time. Now back again for the holiday season. I really can't wait for it.
i got a lot of stuff on my bucketlist for Washington and New York.

Anyone else who ever crossed the big ocean?
America to .....?
Or
.... to America ?

Enjoy your trip Essie. NYC is a little over an hour from me. I visit there periodically. Lots to see and do. I still haven't made my way over to Brooklyn Bridge Park viewing NYC across the water. That's on my bucket list to photograph in the evening when the multitude of lights expose the city in all its glory.

I grew up in New York (Staten Island)

Go to Johns pizza in Times Square, great pizza at a reasonable price.
Ride the Staten Island Ferry, it痴 free. If you do ride the ferry over to SI you could visit Snug Harbor. It痴 suppsedly haunted and Ghost Hunters filmed an episode there.

Another interesting place to visit is Obscura Antiques and Oddities. Interesting stuff in that store. They used to have a show called Oddities.

Sadly, I致e never been to Europe...some day.

When in Washington, check out the Smithsonian and the National Zoo. I've been to England and Scotland visiting relatives. We would visit approximately five castles a day.

Thanks everyone for the tips! I wrote them down and certainly going to do something with it!!
I always make a holiday book, with all the adresses and things we want to see and do. Together with a bucketlist for the trip.
We also made a request to visit the pentagon :-) Hope that they let us visit.  It's a pitty that we can not visit the White House now. Only USA residents can visit with a letter from a congresman.
I'm  taking my tripod with me EVP, for my camera to take pictures from the skyline in the evening. It's something i need to practice, so i hope the pictures turn out well. And i will take a lot of pictures Jim.
I have a lot of photo moments on my bucketlist for this trip, like the skyline of New York. As well as thing to see, do or eat :-) hahah
I really looking forward to drink eggnog coffee at starbucks!! oohh..so much artificial crud.. but so good!!
England and Scotland are amazing indeed MacCionoadha beansidhe! We went to Scotland 2 years ago for 3 weeks!! it's is amazing. and a few times to England. ( it's not so far from the netherlands)
Next year we are planning to go to Ireland :-) Also a beautiful and magical place..

I'd love to go to Emyvale, Ireland. In the 8th century, the McKenna Clan arrived in Emyvale and by the 12th century, they had established an independent túath (kingdom) in Northern Monaghan. The túath lasted for over 450 years. They were known as the "The Lords Of Truagh
