..and good ol' MMORPG play in general. I've been out of EQ for about 10 years, tried WoW but intensely dislike it, played Guild Wars 2 (not bad) and dabbled in a few others.

I'm guessing nothing can recreate that feeling of community and cooperation, and the glow of your first MMORPG. Any new ones out or on the way I should be looking for?

Runescape used to be great and it's free to play too with optional membership for full content.
We have such sights to show you!

Pretty much. I feel the same about EQ2. Tried dozens of MMO's. None of them give the same feeling of magic.

My first to play was WoW during the first expansion (burning crusade).  I absolutely loved it.  I gave up after cataclysm came out.  Blizzard dumbed the game down so much.  Constantly nerfing classes or abilities. Like you said about the community feeling.  I was part of a great guild and made a moderator as well.  I was part of a 10 man team that lead the guild in raid progression.

I tried a couple of others...  nothing has ever come close to the same feeling....
Just because you have one....doesn't mean you have to act like one - Louczar
Life is short, enjoy it!
