Thanks Lou and I'm working on it. I have a ways to go as I need more experience with lighting, posing and creating consistent work. I'd like to do portraiture work as a mainstay. It's taken me 10 years to really find that love. I started with landscapes and then moved over to macro work. Once I learned more about lighting and how to use artificial light did things begin to change.

We can be our own biggest critic sometimes.  Please don't be too much of a critic on your own work that you never give yourself the chance to sell them.  You are doing really great work!

I haven't posted any images for sometime mostly because I have respiratory issues and with the introduction of Covid -19 at the beginning of 2020 I've made a special effort with self-quarantine. I hope you don't mind, I will post one of my favorite landscape images locally with a little side story. I don't believe I've posted this image before.

The Barkhamsted Resevoir, located in northern Connecticut is created by the Saville Dam, an earthen embankment with masonry work stretching 1950 feet long and 135 feet tall. This is the primary water supply for Hartford, the state capital of Connecticut. The reservoir itself extends approximately 8 miles and almost borders the state of Massachusetts.

The view is spellbindingly beautiful and is one of the true gems of the northern part of the state. Compositionally, finding the perfect spot can be challenging as security can be found with video surveillance in several spots. Security has tightened with the inception of 9-11 and the best spots will cost you a rather undesired ticket at the very least.

This was a very early morning photograph. The intimation of a potential image was clearly seen with the fog ever lingering at 5:00 am. I was virtually the only one here this Sunday morning but seeing the breaking light and ethereal fog was truly a venture in spirituality.
