MacCionoadha BeanSidhe - I actually had to look up what a Hepa filter is lol. But yes we do! We just bought it from Target a few weeks ago! I've never heard that before.

Yeah, if you use an EMF reader next to it, it'll spike and sometimes bury the needle or if using the digital type it will blank the screen.

You can also get these filters in your vacuum cleaners :D that's what I thought of when reading the posts, although, I am not sure if it causes the same spikes.

Well it's not so much the "HEPA filter" part as it is the biggee sized motor that forces the air through the fine mesh of the HEPA filter. So yes vacuum cleaners can do it as well as some dehumidifiers, air conditioners, even some carpy fans  To some degree they will all bump up your local EMF readings BUT dedicated HEPA air filtering systems do tend to be the highest constantly on emitters.

Interestingly ionic air purifiers also bump up environmental EMF but that's due to eXtremely high voltages and not huge amount of power being used :)

All mirrors are somewhat haunted. They are doorways from one side to the other, I believe its just like you finding your favorite route to the mall they or she prefers that mirror. Most likely moving the mirror will end it, unless she has become attached to someone there. Most important thing I think anyways is stop talking about it, or showing her any attention. Ignore her as hard as it might be. Do not acknowledge her. She will eventually leave. The child is my main concern because he will keep acknowledging her and then others may come. Lets just hope moving the mirror does the trick.

The Warrens always liked recommending burying it or sinking it into a deep body of water and never breaking or burning ;)

Well, if the Warrens recommend burying haunted items, I guess I would have a disagreement with them on that point. When people tell me they buried a haunted item, I tell them to dig it up as soon as possible and apologize to the attached spirit for burying it!

I suspect there are many paths to the top of the mountain.

The water idea is an interesting one. Is that because flowing water is meant to have positive energy? Is that why water features are quite popular in some cultures?

The Warrens recommended a deep body of water. I suspect to isolate the possibilities of being found. It's all speculation earthly. One method works for one person whereas another one work better for the next. It's all about inconsistency so it seems.

i would not destroy it. it may have been used for scrying, of some one may have trapped something in it. i would suggest putting it some where out of sight, an attic or basement. Cover it with a cloth a put sea salt around it.

These I believe are very good ideas! I would take a black cloth or blanket it and take it to the beach and drench it in the ocean. Then I would let it dry complete in the sun and cover the mirror with it. The salt from the sea will remain in the cloth and hopefully keep anything from passing through the mirror. Just a little less messier than JWC idea which is a very good idea!

Thanks for sharing that Kristin, makes sense when you think about the salt water (and how salt is used in other purification rituals)... learning so much in this thread!

I was thinking and I don't know if it would work or not but why waste a mirror! I would decorate it. Paint it and before it dries sprinkle salt over it. You could glue crystals to it  all kinds of things. I wonder!!!!
