Recently I was able to stay in a room where someone famous passed away. I don't want to mention who it is but he passed in Feb 2011. I uploaded my video and a fan asked me to remove it. People are eventually going to go in that room for the same reason. Should I feel bad for being the first? How soon is too soon to explore and film-photograph a location?

Thanks for the help.

I think if it is a public place then people are going  post video's or things they find strange. However, there are better public places to post as I am sure people here, like myself, would be very interested in watching your video if it was uploaded here. Oh yes and welcome to the site :)

I guess the difference is if you're claiming that it's the person who died in the room or if you're just saying "here's some weird stuff in blah blah place".

Death is a sensitive topic for most people.  Treat it carefully, especially if you're doing something that could potentially get back to the family and hurt them -- like claiming they're sticking around where they died.

I got into it with a local celebrity psychic not terribly long ago when we had the tragic deaths of two of our community's beloved children.  I know one of the families well and knew how devastated they were and jerkface was all over the radio trying to get airtime over his "communicating with them" but never once offered his services to or communicated with the families.  His garbage further wounded already grieving people.

There will always be someone who crosses that boundary.  Don't be that person.

So I'm curious, who was the person that died?  Aside from guitarist Gary Moore, who died in Feb 2011 no names stand out for me

I don't see why investigating reported ghosts from celebrities is any worse than anyone else. I've sometimes wondered if Michael Jackson haunts his old home in Encino though I doubt it. But a celebrity is a celebrity and they are famous for a reason or they'd drop out of Hollywood. They have always wanted to be seen and heard. I see no reason why death would change that.

It's a bit of a sensitive area, and I think that if you're posting things then it needs to done sensitively, and there's always going to be people with opinions about what you're posting, be it a celeb or not! So just use your good judgment to make a call on what's appropriate.
It's in the trees, it's coming!
