Will we be able to buy the game someday?
Will it be in the stores?
And are you doing this own your own or working for a software company?

Yes, I'm aiming to release images / trailer to Steam Greenlight when it's closer to finished (people vote if they would buy the game and if so I will release it through that platform and sell it). Even if you don't buy / play games sure there will be some Youtube videos showing it plus I will be releasing videos footage myself once its further along to keep me motivated. I haven't decided a price or anything like that yet,it will depend on the games length but I wouldn't release it if I felt it wasn't up to scratch (it's not a money grab horror game and I want to be happy with it before I would sell it).

The gameplay will be exploring the house initially, being able to walk around and pick up objects and look at them (everything from the books on the shelves to opening drawers and finding out about the history of the house) it will then progress into more haunting / creepy horror. I've been toying with the idea of it flashing back to the house during the time the murders happened and also including a option to explore the house without the gameplay just as an extra.

I'm working on it alone currently,I might look into getting some help with AI , programming at some point if I need it.Some tools can be bought on a marketplace for the game engine I'm using which is cheaper so might be available by the time I need them.

The furniture truly brings it to life! It would be hard to tell it's not real.  :)

It sounds like you have a plan for the marketing and you definitely have the talent! I love the bonus option of just exploring the house with out game play. And I also think it's an excellent idea of flashing back to when the murders took place, after all, it is a horror game.  ;)

Keep it up.... it's all so amazing!  ........and to think, we saw it here first!

Are .Gifs allowed?,here's a quick one I made just testing out how it would record,quality  / color is a bit grainy. Still missing curtains, lots of small objects and proper lighting, been experimenting with all those trying to get the look of the house.

Latest, made a dent in progressing with Missy's room and got the table into the kitchen (lot of work there to go). Not sure why missy's room had two beds? but they appear in photos for sure.

Took a break in the last week so not a lot of progress to report, just got back into it a few days ago and picked up with some more modelling.
Need to do another pass on curtains / materials, the bedroom below has most of the main props in and isn't too far from just needing all the little things added and some of the other rooms just need clutter added and lighting tweaked.Plus I have about 4 or 5 different t.v sets to model.

Yeah, I agree. Looking forward to the end result. Have you seen the recent thread that mentions a mobile game that scans your home and adds ghosts, sound effects etc?

Yeah I think I heard about that game, haven't seen it in action yet. I'm using Unreal 4 engine for my game so good thing is that I should be able to add VR support fairly easily in the future, don't have my Oculus Rift anymore though so wouldn't be able to test it myself.

Here's some updates, working on changes after I found some different photos - adding exact chairs to dining room, updated foyer and working on chairs etc for basement. Couple of the areas really just need small stuff added like paperwork, clutter etc and paintings in the frames.

Good eye Jim! I hadn't noticed that at all - Do you think Crash put it there on purpose?
