Look at the huge giants from the 50's and the ones they dig up.  I wonder if the first humans were 30 feet tall.  Makes you wonder, did we become shorter as the human race continued?  Or just some kind of malformation?

The fact still remains gigantism existed throughout history. .  Gigantism is a real medical condition and there are people who currently have it.  I've read the article, yes I agree there can be hoaxes, but the national geographic makes a poor argument on their fairly short article.  And I don't trust mainstream media, I don't like fake news.

One mitigating fact reflects to food sources. Just 100 years ago the average size of people were considerably shorter which can be evidently seen with the size of the period bed.  Low levels of nutrition stunted growth during the development years. It's only been the last 100 years where starvation hasn't been as much of a concern let alone a steady food supply that didn't require individual farming and hunting at the mercy of weather conditions. Improved health professionals and advances in medical practices aid to this condition.

Undoubtedly there are exceptions but not the norm.
