Something Weird Is Happening At My House

I've been having strange sounds, seeing things out of the corner of my eye. Even my husband said he saw a shadow man standing by the end of the couch late at night a couple months ago.
My grandmother died three weeks ago and it's been incredibly painful.
But all the ghostly stuff has outright stopped. Completely. No more doors opening and closing, no sounds of crunching under feet, no sounds of scratching under the bed or in the walls, no feelings that someone just sat on the bed, nothing out of the corner of my eye.
Somehow this seems just as creepy as when all that stuff was happening. It makes me feel like something is on the way to a big blow out.
The only thing I can think of is that it was mum here doing that stuff and gramma came and got her after gramma died so now it's stopped.
One of those two reasons.

The sounds, sitting on my bed and the like have completely stopped. But my husband and I are seeing something small and round out of the corner of ours eyes. It's black and lasts no longer than a second. It's smaller. Like smaller than a cat but bigger than a rat. And it's fuzzy. It's really really fast. And if you turn to look toward it, you won't see anything.
I know it's not my eyes having floaters or something. Two weeks ago I had my eyes checked so I could get contacts so it's a much more in depth check than a regular eye check. My eyes are fine other than having astigmatism. My husbands eyes are better than 20 20 and always have been. He can see things clearer than anyone I've ever met. I have to wear glasses to see type this small. To him it's nothing.
I don't know what this is. It doesn't give me the "scare" feeling. It doesn't feel good either, just like... it's there. And that's all.
Lately though, I've been seeing them smaller than that. Crawling up things, like the side of a box. I thought I was seeing a spider or something but nothing is ever there when I step close to see.
It's more annoying than anything else.

I see orbs and they can be very small but they aren't black and they don't climb on things.

The plus side to this is you can make your home more secure and if anything unusual happens in camera view you then can check to see if your camera managed to record anything.
Good luck

I see things like this all the time, and I know they aren't floaters because I've had those all my life and can tell the difference. I can see almost tiny things moving around, also. It's kind of spooky, but it doesn't bother me. It's a pain when you get fixated on the "creatures" running around, and people stare at you funny, as you can see them and they can't... actually, it's irritating.

i've only seen something collectively once in the last 40 years. Sadly psychologists suggest it be be nothing but a collective hallucination. Apparently, the Doris Bither case. (Barry Taff aka The Entity 1974) had phenomena witnessed by 28 people and was captured by a professional photographer. Unsurprising, skeptics called it a collective hallunication even then but unfortunately they chiselled their reality into a state a "denial".
Several times, I've witnessed audio phenomena that fails to be recorded even with multiple recording devices. Much of the phenomena, if given enough time can be explained with natural causes but not all of them. That's what continues to peak my interest in this enigmatic pseudoscience.

Agreed Vlawde, I put him in my top 5. The movie was only loosely based on the actual investigation and the ending was truly far fetched from the actual events. I only include it because many remember the movie but don't know the actual case. Another one of my favorite investigators (not auditory related) was Peter Underwood. Loved his dedication. He investigated for over 50 years and continued his research up until his death.
BTW- Although I endorse a healthy degree of skepticism, the Bither case had 28 investigators witness phenomena at the same time with the image above and the skeptics continued to deny the possibility. I understand that a collective hallucination is possible but, "28 people at the same time?"

You have made a very good point. the possibility or chance that it could happen with 2-3 people would be fairly high...IMO. 28 people at the same time would have to be along the lines of being close to the odds of winning the lottery.
Life is short, enjoy it!

Really annoying.
MacCionadha, it's very irritating when you can see them and others can't. Since it's my husband and I and he has such good vision, it makes me wonder what's going on.

I'm wondering if it's the old owners kitty. They had five. Maybe one of them died and the ghost came back to the house.
It's more annoying than anything else because it wakes me up.

As a kid we had several cats that had passed over come and jump on the beds. One even like to rub against our legs.
My mother even experienced one of our living cats astral travel because to her surprise she found the cat was fast asleep on the bed when she went into her bed room.
