I don't find the sun to be so strong there, I got a bit burnt when I was there in May but nothing crazy.

It is ok there is a growing number of sunscreens on the market already that are considered eco friendly and safe for the marine life, coral and humans alike.  My fav is MooGoo

I'm glad to hear that.  I wonder why they didn't cite that fact?  Knee-jerk response, probably.

They also have the uv resistant clothes too.  My grandson had some when he went to hawaii last year.

If you are asking about the ban on sunscreen? From what I read they are banning the toxic chemicals so other safer sunscreens can still be used

Quote

Beginning January 1, 2021, bans the sale, offer of sale, or distribution in the State of any sunscreen that contains oxybenzone or octinoxate, or both, without a prescription issued by a licensed healthcare provider to preserve marine ecosystems. (CD1)
