My fave genres are horror/thriller/comedy.  I hate anything Sci Fi or Action.  Chick Flicks are ok.

I feel like i've exhausted amazon/local shops lol.

The Invention of Lying (Ricky Gervais) is pretty good for a comedy, and Skyline is a good Sci Fi alien invasion movie

There's a fine line between some Sci-Fi an horror. Skyline is a horror film, just involves aliens

Haha yeah that's my pet hate really.  I don't think there is 1 sci fi film I like, not even "Alien".   I think the closest would be "The Thing".

My favourites are the late 70's-80's slashers.

Dead and Breakfast, Black Sheep (Not the David Spade movie) are a couple of zombie movies i've seen. Dead Snow is another zombie movie that people seem to like, but i haven't seen it yet. I like the Ginger Snaps movies, and Dog Soldiers - werewolf movies. Hatchet is a slasher flick that pays a bit of homage to the Friday the 13th franchise. I like most of Adam Sandler's comedies.

I just read your latest comment. I think you will like Hatchet. :) Dog Soldiers has some action, but is worth watching.

Ghost Town was a very hilarious film that featured ghosts that literally crowed this guy who can see them after he died for 7 minutes during a minor procedure. I'm sure the fact its a comedy AND has ghosts in it should spark your interest, I know it did for me. :)

I really liked Jeepers Creepers, but thought the last 20 minutes or so brought it down to made-for-tv quality. Still well worth watching. Another movie in a similar vein is Darkness Falls

I don't know if it's any good, but Hatchet 2 will be out soon if it isn't already. Have you seen REC, the Spanish original to the US remake Quarantine? How about the US tv series The Walking Dead? 1st season has 6 episodes. Feast?

I read in another thread that you had a bunch of dvds? Makes it harder to find something you haven't seen. Should i rule out all the mainstream movies?

All the ones in the last 3 posts i've seen, except walking dead.  I was going to order it but it said in the reviews that it went down hill after the first couple of episodes.  I thought the beginning of Jeepers Creepers was great, but yeah, the ending was a bit rubbish and I didn't like the sequel.

Yeah you can basically assume i've seen most of the mainstream movies, particularly the horrors.

For anybody else that does like sci-fi or in this case its a mix of horror and sc-fi i would like to mention a film called Lifeforce circa 1985. The plot centers around space vampires and a sexy girl brought back to earth. It is just another twist on vampires.

The first two episodes in The Walking Dead were really good, but it was unlikely they could keep it up at that level. It did decline, but didn't just bottom out. It's still entertaining enough. Not sure if you'd rather wait to see how the next season plays out so you don't waste your time. That won't be for months.

Lake Placid (probably seen) and Rogue - killer crocs? Severed: Forest of the Dead - okay, low budget zombie movie. Most of the other low budget z-movies, i don't think i'd recommend. I'll just ramble off a bunch of movies that may be decent enough to watch and see if i hit anything. Critters -scifi, Slither, Eight Legged Freaks, The Mist, The Fog (not the remake), John Carpenter's Vampires, Nightbreed, Prince of Darkness, The Reaping, The Devil's Tomb, Dead and Deader, Warlock, Demons 1+2, Night of the Demon.

Haven't seen Night Of The Demon or the Devil's Tomb  :good: I'm wanting to order True Blood Season 3 but it's still a bit expensive.

The Devil's Tomb was the main one i considered "decent enough." I don't think i can come up with a good horror movie you haven't seen. Still trying though... ;) Demon Knight?
