The staff thought it would be helpful to give some general guidelines to consider when replying to or starting threads here on this board.
~If you are starting a new topic, please do a quick search to see if there is already a thread started on the topic you wish to discuss. We are not one of those boards who say "OMG Necro!!". Threads stay around here for a long time.
~Please try to keep the font color on automatic. I know changing the color may make it pop more, however, we have quite a few different themes here on the board and what you may be able to see on one theme, can't be seen on another.
~If you're looking for advice or assistance, please be as detailed as you can.
~Please understand that no one here is an expert on the Paranormal. Members give advice/suggestions only - they are not guaranteeing that they can solve your particular issue. If you so choose, you're using their advice/suggestions at your own risk.
~Please watch your sense of humor. Everyone likes to joke around now and then, but this is the internet and there is no tone of voice to be heard. Something could be posted in a totally innocent fashion, yet be taken out of context. What's amusing to one, isn't to another.
~Please resist the urge for a snarky reply. If you have nothing constructive to add to the conversation, it's best to not post. We do not tolerate rudeness. Members will be warned and if it continues, will be placed on Admin approval (your posts come to us first and we decided whether they will be posted or not).
~Everyone has differing opinions. Be prepared for the fact that others may not agree with you. If you cannot handle someone giving you a different opinion, you should probably not post.
~The word filter exists for a reason. Please do not try to get around it. The only thing that will accomplish is getting you warned/banned and give us something else to add to the filter.
~The Admin and Mod staff are located in varied time zones. We cannot be here all the time but we certainly try our best. Usually, we can spot a conflict before it gets out of hand, but if we're missing something you feel is important, please don't hesitate to contact us. You can use the Report feature on a post (located in the lower right-hand corner of every post). You can also contact us in the "Forum Announcements and Help" or later via PMs.
