It is indeed a window similar to the one I took the image through, the bottom left one on the side not the end of the building on the attached image.

It seems like from all the photos I've seen the Windows are dead center and higher up. So the "image" of the female is below the window.

Here are examples of where the window is located in the cells.

Looking again at the history of the Jail and the fact there is what appears to be a fireplace, I believe that this end of the building was actually a laundry.
So I what I am looking into may not of bee a cell at all.

My  mistake, the laundry was on the end of the civil prison, but it doesn't look like a cell as a fireplace would not of been in a cell.
the mystery is want makes the whole thing fun.

I feel it's just a combination of he distance, the low light in the room and the discolored walls (which are throughout the jail) making a form that sort of looks humanoid.

Seeing that very clear shot makes that analysis probable. For the record, I outlined the "tricorner guy" because you could interpert the blury shape that way. It was even more unlikely than the female figure, but the shape was there.

For information.I have had confirmation from the resident  Psychic at Bodmin Jail that he is pleased that, after analysis,  the image does indeed show an unexplained figure of a woman. The image is being stored in their database of evidence.

I've tried to enhance the photo and then I traced what I see.

Really think it's just light and shadows. There are other light and dark spots. I don't see a figure personally. And, while it's nice I guess to have a place's resident psychic think you've got something, I'd be wary that they are just trying to get you or others to come back by saying that.
Overall, looks like a neat place though.
