Greetings,

Regarding exif data....I might as well attempt to be reading Hebrew. That means nothing to me, and I'm sure to others like myself (meaning those not in a photog profession) have no clue what any of it means. Maybe we should get a pinned topic by someone in the know explaining it.

Actually there is thread of mine explaining it best i could do. Its from a few years ago. Should be in the research lab. Ill see if i can find it for you.

Exif data explained

Blessings,

Nice - that is insanely helpful and informative.

Maybe a mod can get it out of the archives and pin it here in the active section.  wink, wink, nudge, nudge   :th_sarcastic_blum:

I also was able to see that much EXIF data on the image. It could be just that the program was set to strip the data from the image when it was exported from the program, or maybe it is an indication that major tampering was done. I also just assumed that someone who knew how to edit a photo in PhotoShop CS5 would either know, or have no trouble figuring out, what EXIF data is. It would be simple to fix all this by posting the unedited image for us to check out. I can't imagine you would have deleted an image of that importance ( if it was real ). It wouldn't prove the image to be real if the original EXIF shows no tampering, but would be a good start. We could at least get past the photoshopping possibilities.

Sadly this is the only image I have, I put it on my computer from my phone. I was mugged a few weeks ago so I don't have the phone. Then I was stupid enough to edit the original image and save it as the original. This all seems very "convenient" I know, but it's the truth. I feel like a child pleading for people to believe me lol

Oh well. I guess that is all we will have to consider then. Thanks for putting up with our requests and thoughts.

agod8,

I'm going to go ahead and post this photo on the main page tomorrow (Ghoststudy.com). So let me know if there's any objection to doing that. I'll be publishing it as a Controversial Hot Topic. Then I'll send the viewers to this page to view/join the conversation.

That's fine by me Jim, I'll be cool to see what others think.

Impeccably dressed, bald, composed.   Looks like an "Observer" to me.   Of course, I've been watching "Fringe" for the past 2 weeks.   lol

I uploaded it to imgur as a precaution in case it got taken off. The original image came from a "slender man" Facebook page. Link

In fact, a quick Google image search for "slender man" will lead you to that image on the very first page. ;-)

@Jim: Glad to help :-)

All "slender man" photos were done for Creepy pasta, where Slenderman was invented. The OP hasn't been here in several years, but it's obvious he did not take the photo and was just pranking us. People there made up stories and photos like this because that was the challenge, they became viral on the internet and many thought they were true.

As I do believe PIT's response was a bit "in your face", I can understand why he would feel this way. I have done research into slender man and there are literally thousands of different supposed pictures of slender man, videos, and accounts. Slender man has become a pop culture icon, and i find him quite fascinating. However I do not believe he actually exists, but i remain open to believe otherwise. For example the Tulpa effect.  My post about it
The picture you posted looks exactly like photos that everyone else posts of slender man. This is why PIT was so offensive. IF you are here to simply mess with this forum and deceive us please leave, on the other hand if you legitimately took this picture and all you say it true...then I really do hope that it is NOT Slender man, and I wish you the best of luck.

I concur with what you said.
