We fence off our foyer where we keep their kennels and they stay in that area at night.
The night before last, my dogs woke me up (@ exactly 2;30 on my clock) when they started barking. It was in a sorta aggressive way. I got up and thought they needed to go out and let them out for a few minutes. Let them back in and I go back to bed. They started whining a bit and barked a couple of times before I went back out and yelled at them to get in their kennels which they did.
Last night, I heard the dogs barking a little aggressively again...at exactly 2:30 on my clock. I got up and yelled at them to get in their kennels. That was the end of their barking.
I was thinking about it on the way in to work. It sure was odd that they barked at the exact same time both nights. I'm not making any jumps that this was anything paranormal. in the past, all 3 of my dogs have watched something move in our house before that my wife and I could not see. They all moved their heads at the same time in the same direction as if they were watching something. Out of nowhere, they have gone crazy aggressive at something that wasn't seen. It was this experience from the past that made me wonder a little bit what they were really barking at the last 2 nights.

It might be a good idea to journal date/time and a short description of the event to see if there can be a pattern established for future reference. You can't say it's a pattern with 2 exact times one day after the other but it's sure coincidental. Keep us in the loop Lou

My wife just called me to talk about the dogs. She waited until she was driving to my daughters to talk. This was because she wanted to ask if I thought this could be something similar to what was happening before last July (July of 2018 is when it all stopped). This was also because I told her I didn't want to have discussions in our house about anything that has happened in our house. She did ask "the" question...what am I going to do if it happens again tonight? I had no answer

Thanks for the update Lou.
Don't you wish sometimes our animal could talk....I think yours would have plenty to say!

I REALLY do wish that right now...and have in the past too. Maybe I wouldn't want to know what they had to say....lol

I think that's very wise keeping those discussions out of the house Lou. Some feel that feeds the problem so to speak. Proven or unproven doesn't matter. Better safe than sorry.

Dogs started barking again the night before last and again last night. This happened shortly after they were fenced off in their kennel area. Turns out (the last 2 nights at least) that they saw a possum in the front yard that likely has been making regular nightly visits to our yard. Just much earlier the last 2 nights than the first times it happened.
