I'm curious to see which sides are going to be represented here...  Marvel?  DC?  Some other franchise?  Which side are you on?  :)

I'm going to have to say that my favorite superhero team is the X-Men.  The X-Men made their debut in comics in the early 1960s and the pic below represents an iteration from the late 80s/early 90s.

My favorite superhero on that team has to be James "Logan" Howlett, aka "Wolverine".  His story is very complex, and he has been alive since well before the Civil War.  This is because he has a regenerative healing factor that hides his age and also keeps his organs well and intact for an extended period of time.  He appears to be in his 40s, but he is actually almost 200 years old.  Besides being a part of the X-Men, he has also been a member of Alpha Flight, The Avengers, and X-Force.

My favorite villain is the Sentinels, which is an army of mutant-hunting robots originally created by a scientist named Bolivar Trask.  They were later re-created over time by other scientists.  There are so many iterations of them, and their powers can range from palm beams, to re-creating the powers of the mutants they are tracking.  Their size can also range from three-story tall robots to human-sized, depending on who created them.  They are a common enemy of the X-Men, although they have appeared in other Marvel comics such as Spider-Man and "Avengers" titles.

So...  who are your favorite superheroes and villains?

As a small child it was Superman and fantastic four ( I wish I had all those comics I bought back then).  With the introduction of the movies as an adult, I really like X-Men, Iron Man.  I think it may be because of the actors / actresses that were picked for those roles.

Same here. I was a Superman fan when I was a toddler...and yes, I could read well at a very young age. Then came Marvel with the Fantastic Four, Spiderman and Iron Man. No more DC comics for me

Mine would be batman, as he is only a few who don't have super powers.

My favorite villain is the Daleks from Dr who.

Glad to hear from everybody!  All great tastes!  :)

I was at an antique shop yesterday and found a whole bunch of comics in one of the booths.  Ended up getting around 30 for $1 each.  I'd say that's a good haul!

I like Superman also.  The older cartoons are pretty enjoyable to watch.  I'm not sure I like what they did to him in the newer movies though.  They should have kept the retro look and worked off of it, not give him a whole new look.  It's Superman, for crying out loud lol
