My mother said to me she was crossing the street once and saw a reflection and thought "Who the hell is that old girl"? She laughed and said she took a second look and it was her

I listened closely and heard the squeaking of the crank, as the casket slowly lowered into the grave. I was still alive.

2nd story:

I awoke to hear a long, loud beep. I saw people running around frantically, but i didn't care anymore as i raised my head to see what was happening on the floor above me.

(Trust me, that's a horror story.  /shiver)

I fully believe that not everyone is meant to see things; some things you just aren't meant to know.

Not real, they're just for fun. And if your answer was... very well done.

They weren't. If they were, then 1. I would've been buried alive and 2. I would've died in a hospital bed.

Oops. I pointed out the obvious. What i meant was, if they were real, and i had died and drifted away, then who or what is making these posts? :o

The answer to my question depended on your reply. It makes for either a horrific ending, or a happy one. :) Horror stories can have happy endings like this one did. Thanks.

Here's a couple more, but i don't think they're as good:

The creature's cold icy gaze pierced my soul with a shivering fear. Its sharp fangs felt worse.

I held onto two of its arms for dear life. That wasn't enough to stop the giant killer squid.

I saw the baby yellow ducklings follow their mother cross the road. I didn't see the yellow steam-roller coming down the road.

2nd story:

He was cuddly like a giant teddy bear. Mother bear didn't approve.

As he lie in bed he felt her hand reach round to give him a cuddle and he caught a glimpse of the lacy sleeve of her nightie...

The same nightie that he had buried her in that morning.

Not mine, but creepy as poo nonetheless...

I begin tucking him into bed and he tells me, "Daddy check for monsters under my bed." I look underneath for his amusement and see him, another him, under the bed, staring back at me quivering and whispering, "Daddy there's somebody on my bed."

I woke up to hear knocking on glass. At first, I though it was the window until I heard it come from the mirror again.

Those are good! I like the monster with the bed the most. I can't decide which one is the kid and which is the monster.

As she walking down the street, she saw a ghostly figure in the distance. The closer she walked towards it, it suddenly was on the other side of the road.

The chains rattled on the old dungeon wall, much to the surprise of the investigators in the room. As shocking as the occurrence had been, nothing on earth could have prepared them for what the prophecy had in store next...
