I'm going to have to read all of your posts as well Louczar, I will do my best to provide a valid opinion, but I also feel like most of the things I would say, have already been said here.

As Whisper said (woo little bit of an oxymoron there), keep us updated.

Yes I think you are right Louczar, it is best to worry when you know you have something to worry about. Otherwise, you will be wasting a lot of energy worrying when you don't need to.

Update:  Still nothing going on.  I thought I heard a girls voice in the house when my wife and I were talking a couple of evenings ago.  It was very brief.  I put my hand up to stop my wife from talking.  But, never heard the voice (or more proper would be the sound) again.  I am pretty sure it was my sons cat that we have been keeping for a little while. The meow sound it made while in another room while my wife and I were talking could easily make me think of a girls voice. Nothing else to report.  No odd feelings, experiences or anything else....and glad!!!

for the record.  We have never heard a disembodied voice in the house before which is why I think it was the cat.

I think the cat is a reasonable explanation for what was going on.

I think I really should go get my hearing checked.  I know that I have gone to way too many concerts as a teenager.  My ears will ring (one at a time) for no apparent reason sometimes....I am in my 50's lol.  I say this because I have thought I heard a disembodied voice 2 other times besides the one I mentioned.

I never heard it clearly and it was while my wife was talking to me.  Having a cat and 3 dogs in the house.  This makes me draw a conclusion to them making the sounds and hearing a small part of whatever sound they are making in between words spoken by my wife.

To be clear.  This never happened before and I do think that it is my hearing / the animals.

Well, either way, it's happening, I hope the sound issue gets resolved soon.

The weather is nice these days and I have been leaving the dogs outside more on weekends and evenings.  I have not heard any voices or anything for days!  Let the trend continue....

I am glad things are settled for you right now. I enjoy reading about your animals, has the cat gone or is it still there too?

My youngest daughter, her fiance and my grand daughter all came over for dinner yesterday (Filet Mignon, asparagus and twice baked potatoes :-) ).  My future son-in-law told us after dinner that he has been hearing a lot of noises at night where they are staying now.  Creaking floors, footsteps, slight knocking sounds and such.  I had to get him to at least consider that the place they are staying is a 30+ year old double wide trailer house and that a mouse fart would make the house creak.

My daughter did not say she had heard anything strange.  They have taken in a dog and the dog has not acted in any strange ways either.

Louczar - what do you think about this? Is he familiar with any past encounters as you are? Did he happen to bring it up in conversation or is this something spoken of before? I apologize for all the questions, but your accounts have always interested me.

He lived in our house for close to a year with my daughter, wife and I.  He is very well aware of the stuff that went on in our house as he was there for part of it.  But, he himself never had anything specific like the rest of us.  he mentioned that he has only heard odd sounds at our house.  He and my daughter claimed they heard a lot of odd sounds when they lived in an apartment.  I really tried to dismiss that too as they had people living above, below and all sides of them.  They joked that "it" followed them to the apartment and now to where they are living.

I really try to not have talks about ghosts in the house (not sure why).  I did not have a long discussion about this with them in the house.  I am sure he did not see any of the manifestations that had been seen in our house.  He never had locked doors open on their own, or seen the dogs act odd in seeing things not there.

Another reason I dismiss the sounds he said are at the new rental place.  They took in a Bully pit bull.  it is about 1 year old.  They have had the dog for over a month and it has not acted odd in any way.
