I wish there was more than one pic.  The "thing" looks to be more pixelated than the rest of the surroundings to me.

I'm fairly certain the pixelation is from motion blur. Quite honestly, we'd need to know a few specifics that aren't addressed in the article. As in, how many live in this dwelling and who was up at that time stamp on that particular night. With 4 days passing, the bread crumbs go stale quickly.

Also, and I know this to be fact, many children invent friends when they are young to reduce the loneliness when there isn't an adult around to share time with them. That's well documented in a child's psychological growth.

As to the figure in the picture? It does look female. I will withhold judgment but under low light conditions a person illuminated can and will look disfigured because there simply isn't enough available light and any type of movement will create distortion of the pixels captured.

I agree, the "horns" look like light reflections from glasses. The entity looks very weird to me, like it doesn't belong there. My instinct is that it isn't real but the jury's out.

I also see glasses reflection,  possibly female and just standing from sitting on the cot behind her (left foot in motion).
