I've posted this one before but didn't really get very far with it so I did a little editing to make it more clear.

Your take on it throws it in a darker, yet more meaningful direction. Thank you.

There are several 'layered' responses. Also the left channel differs from the right.

Thank you for taking a look at it. If you have time, would you be willing to break it down to hear the layered responses?

You might draw your own conclusion Mikaru from doing a reverse on the audio file. I have mixed feelings about reverse EVP's but there is a general interest in the community listening to them in that way. I deem it as a Class C although I somewhat concur with Chris with multi-layering.

I'll go ahead and reverse it. I don't normally do this though.

What should I listen/look for to see if there are layered responses?

I don't either.

IMO layered responses just brings the mind to interpret what it think it hears from multiple combined voices but it's very similar to pareidolia and just leads you into a loop of confusion. You might not particularly like hearing this but when it becomes impossible/improbable to accurately determine what is said specifically, I don't waste much time on them. It's a fruitless tree that will never grow into anything meaningful. Sorry, I know that sounds negative and I appreciate your enthusiasm Mikaru but just move on and just record again. Class C's are the most common and are filed under "G" in a special folder for me :)

Feel free to pipe in Chris...I like learning, I'd like to hear your take.

I'll consider it a capture of class G then. I don't mind. At least I caught something!

Yes, I will try as time permits, which has been scares lately, and if you're willing to provide the original unedited extended time snippet. See below.

Below is the file loaded in Audition, We can see the wave form, on top and the Spectral Frequency Display for each channel Left is over Right below the wave form.

When I work with audio, most of what I do is directly in the Spectral Frequency Display. Notice the Right channel is not the same as the Left, above it, on the low end 100 to 400Hz. I would like more of this particular recording. This is also interesting in its layering of responses, which is not that rare. I broke a few layered down for Tantric Kitten a few months back, posted with images and sound bytes.

In this case, I'm more interested in the difference between the channels in the lower end, 100 to 400 Hz. But I'll try to pull out a few layers. There is a rather easy one I've already Isolated in the 1k Hz to 2k Hz level.
