Yes, I'm here. We got 3½ - inches of rain from the storm. Luckily, we didn't get the predicted powerful winds. Also, I've been busy on two commissioned lighters, so I haven't had time to come here on the forum. Sorry.

I wove a new necklace last night. It was from an original pattern that I made years ago but used a different type of seed beads this time

Thank you. I also made a Goth five-decade rosary. I made the rosary from black obsidian and garnet beads, with silver-plated pewter, rose skull beads, which remind me of sugar skulls.

Okay, there are many different types of rosaries, depending on how you are praying, I've given you a rundown of the two more popular ones.

Five Decade Rosary
Arrange the rosary beads in groups of ten Hail Marys, which are called decades with prayers that accompany the beads. Precede every decade by one Lord's Prayer and follow with one Glory Be. During recounting of each series, give thought to one of the Mysteries of the Rosary, which recollects the events in the lives of Mary and Jesus  You recite five decades per rosary. Also, before or after each decade, other prayers may be added. Rosaries can be an assistance to help to say the prayers in the correct sequence.

During the 16th century, the standard fifteen Mysteries of the Rosary were established by Pope Pius V. He grouped the mysteries in three sets: the Joyful Mysteries, the Sorrowful Mysteries, and the Glorious Mysteries.

Pope John Paul II created the Luminous Mysteries in 2002. He stated that it is fitting that a new set of five be added; bringing the total of mysteries to twenty. The Glorious mysteries said on Sunday and Wednesday, the Joyful on Monday and Saturday, the Sorrowful on Tuesday and Friday, and the Luminous Mysteries said on Thursday. As per usual, recite the five decades per session.

Single-Decade Rosary
This rosary can also be used instead of a Five-Decade: you count a ring of ten beads and repeat the decade every time. In 16th and 17th century Ireland religious conflict caused very severe legal penalties against practicing Roman Catholics. To avoid being identified, small rosaries that were hidable were needed. They became known as Irish Penal or Ten-Decade rosaries. At times instead a Cross, other symbols were used. They had specific meanings to the users as an example: a hammer could signify the nails of the cross, cording can represent the scourging of Christ, a chalice could bring to mind the Last Supper, or you could use a crowing rooster for the denials of Peter.
