Ok, I wouldn't say I have a weird/strange hobby, but my favorite thing to do that I don't get to do too often anymore is bowl.  I bowled in high school on their team, I have been in many leagues, and I was also in my local bowling alley travel league.  While in that league, we went all over the area to bowl against other bowling alleys and had a blast.  I would say I'm a perfectionist when it comes to bowling.  I'm not the best bowler around, but darn it, I always want to be able to bowl a good game :)

If the oil pattern is not in my favor on a lane, I will try my best to decipher the pattern and get the ball to hook at the right amount, and also throw the right speed.  I can be competitive, but mostly, I want to learn the oil pattern that I am working with.  I currently have two used bowling balls.  The brands are "Activator" and "Freeze".  They were actually given to me by a couple of people that my wife and I bowled on a league with last year and they replaced my old bowling ball that I got when I was a junior in high school.

In order to hook the ball, I use finger-tip grips.  This gives a bowler the advantage of an advanced hook...  And if you have the right type of ball, you can also have a back-end on your hook, meaning the ball will hook at high rates, even on very oily lanes.

Example of a finger-tip grip:

Notice how the finger holes have the inserts.  Most bowlers like to have light-colored inserts on darker balls to keep track of how their ball is moving/hooking down the lane.

I have to say that if it wasn't for my dad, I would not be a fan of bowling.  He pushed me from a very young age to be a good bowler, just because I showed a slight interest in it.  I owe it all to him :)

Only the paranormal, I think like everyone else here. . Other than me being a big geek and loving computers and role playing games like Vampire The Masquerade. I don't think those are too weird, just different than most people. I don't like gruesome though I can deal with it and it doesn't send me screaming like some others (I've never understood why people run screaming from dead things or throw up. It's dead. A little perspective goes a long way), and I hate insects (especially spiders, gross). I do think swords and knives are incredibly cool but the swords are for decoration and the knives are for cutting dinner lol. I hate guns. *shrugs*

I was reminded the other day that I do have an unusual hobby (I don't think it's unusual). I collect beer glasses from various breweries. Various craft beer taphouses in my area, especially the one a block away from the house, have 'pint nights' where they feature multiple beers from a specific local brewery. Usually you get a branded pint glass and maybe some schwag. I realized that after 3-4 years or so, I have hundreds of these things. There is no more cupboard space!

I don't have any odd collections or hobbies. I just collect average antiques from 1700's and back. Very few pieces newer than the 1700's.

Here's another one... DINOSAUR POOP!
I paid a lot of money for this one... and it's one of my more fascinating exhibits.
