That's the fourth time. 16 years in this industry and apparently I "can't do front desk the way I want it done" (from the owner). The butt couldn't even be bothered to talk to ME directly and won't answer calls from me. He called my husband (who doesn't even work for him anymore) and had my husband fire me.

That's it. I don't care if he begs, I'm not going back. But this means we have to cut out absolutely everything extra and will just be making it.

I can't do this anymore. I've applied for unemployment.

That痴 crazy. Sorry to hear that.  How is it even legal for him to have your husband fire you?

To my knowledge it's not legal to have a third party (who doesn't work for the employer) tell you, "You're fired." The owner or someone who is currently working for the employer has to tell her. They also need her to sign documents and such.

Your husband should have told him to eff off. He doesn't work for the guy anymore

Find new employment with someone who will appreciate your skills. His loss, your gain in the long run. Wishing you the best of luck!
