I really can't see a lot in the picture, but the story of his aunt is really touching.
Thanks for sharing the pic!

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but for the face to be a reflection of someone in the room, that person would have to be sitting very close to the screen (and would therefore be visible in this photo). Someone further away would create a much smaller reflection.
The most likely natural explanation is that the TV was on at the time. Beyond that...hard to say.
It's a creepy image to be sure!

In loving memory of Jack Russell, 1963-2009. You are forever in my heart!

I know the television is off as the way the boy is on the set and the flash is above the television it looks like and you can see reflections off of it as well but this is not a reflection at all!
Now my question is what would bring this boy to his home? His new apartment? How is this man connected? And has he ever taken pictures again in that place and/or other places and this little boy appeared? This is really fascinating thank you for sharing them!

This picture is really something. Here are my thoughts:
1. It is plain that the TV is off as you say. The majority of the screen is that dull grey-green that CRT screens get when not being used.
2. The TV screen is a reflective surface. That makes it possible that this is a reflection. In fact, I see what I believe to be the reflection of a framed portrait just to the right of the face. I could be wrong about that. I agree that this is not the reflection of a boy's face. As Augie astutely observed, a boy would have to be so close to the TV screen to be reflected at that size that he would be visible in the photo.
3. It does look amazingly like a child's face, leaning towards boy, but it could easily be a girl too. The part that bothers me is that it only looks right from the eyes down. The brow ridge looks enormous to me. The top of the head is tiny. Could this be the ghost of a neaderthal kid? Who knows? We can make up any explanation, but this brow/head thing bothers me. It makes me wonder if the face is a relection of something normal that is creating an illusion of a face because of the low resolution in the picture. I would love to see a picture of the rest of the room. I think that might settle the question, although I am sure that it is impossible.
4. The two stories about the cousin or the man's unborn son are interesting and touching, but should not be taken into account when evaluating this photo. The natural response is to think: "Well, we have a story, and it shows there is a good reason for a ghost boy to be hanging around." That is not really acceptable supporting evidence though, because there is no way to demonstrate a real link between the story and the photo. Just because one thing happens in sequence after the other, even in the same place, that does not show a causal relationship. Think of it this way: Here we have two different stories that could possibly support the ghost picture. That makes it even more likely to be a real ghost, right? Wrong! The stories appeal to our emotions and desires, but they can't both be true. One has to be wrong. Yet, we see the people involved subscribing to one or the other of them as being supporting evidence or just accepting them as true. That is certainly their right, but it means that at least one person believes in something that is not true. They hold the believe based on poor evidence and personal desire. This example illustrates why there is no value in a story like this. The people are accepting the different stories as good evidence for the exact same reasons. But one has definately taken on a false belief by doing so. We can see this more plainly because there are two stories, but it would be exactly same if there where only one. When we pay attention to this sort of story, we are running a huge risk of misleading ourselves.
OK, I am done with my wet blanket routine. I will say that this is an exciting and mysterious looking photo, and real or not, I thank you for posting it for us to see!
Regards, Canis

Well I like the picture myself.. I just find a reflection hard to believe that would make it so clear and so distinct to look like a child, boy or girl in the television but you never know.. still it is a great picture.. shows the television off and everything.. I am impressed myself... what was captured.. thanks again for showing us Blue I enjoy your photos as well!
