Ok this was taken in 1981, by a man who was a bachelor and had just moved into an apartment, there was newspaper on the window, so no light was coming in. He was taking pics of his place for his friends, and THIS showed up on the TV. He showed it to his Aunt who cried and said she lost a little boy that looked like that. Since then, he has gotten married and has his own children, but this picture has always haunted him, so to speak. He claims this child looks exactly like one of his sons. Dare I ask, thoughts? LOL

This may seem like a silly question, but was the televison off at the time?

I really can't see a lot in the picture, but the story of his aunt is really touching.

Thanks for sharing the pic!

The face is VERY clear...is the man who took this photo sure that the TV wasn't on?

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but for the face to be a reflection of someone in the room, that person would have to be sitting very close to the screen (and would therefore be visible in this photo). Someone further away would create a much smaller reflection.

The most likely natural explanation is that the TV was on at the time. Beyond that...hard to say.

It's a creepy image to be sure! ohmy.gif

That is clearly face and you are correct, if there was a child there, he would be visible. The weird part is not the boy, but the Aunt's reaction and NOW that little boy looks exactly like one of his sons. He is not sure if its the deceased boy of his Aunt's or a child that wasnt born yet. He was very single, and never reported any paranormal activity, but he was shocked when he say the boy. He's shown it to his entire family and they all feel its a "family member." He has saved this photo for all these years, and it doesnt frighten him, but said he felt comforted by it. Great story, great pic..IMO..Thanks..For Helena and others who think its too small..I zoomed in...There is something odd as well to our right of the boys face, but I dont know what it is..

Well I can see the Television is off in this picture.. and this is another one of your creepy pictures Blue! EWWW heeby jeebies.. I am not going to get to bed tonight I can tell!
I know the television is off as the way the boy is on the set and the flash is above the television it looks like and you can see reflections off of it as well but this is not a reflection at all!
Now my question is what would bring this boy to his home? His new apartment? How is this man connected? And has he ever taken pictures again in that place and/or other places and this little boy appeared? This is really fascinating thank you for sharing them!

Hi MM, this man took that picture and a few in the kitchen but that was it. When he had the roll developed he was shocked. We are not sure if the boys is his cousin who passed away, but he feels it was his son who wasnt born yet. He cannot and will not post pics of his son, for obvious reasons. But the boy looks like the cousin and his son. This is a mystery, but in any case, that little guy was on that TV screen and I have no doubt its "family." Thanks ermm.gif

Fantastic picture, the Tv looks to be off imo? I can see a small orange-ish light to the right of the Tv on the wall also, not sure what that could be? But that definitely looks like a small boy in that Tv!!

Thanx for sharing as I love looking at your posted pics.

Hi Blue,

This picture is really something. Here are my thoughts:

1. It is plain that the TV is off as you say. The majority of the screen is that dull grey-green that CRT screens get when not being used.

2. The TV screen is a reflective surface. That makes it possible that this is a reflection. In fact, I see what I believe to be the reflection of a framed portrait just to the right of the face. I could be wrong about that. I agree that this is not the reflection of a boy's face. As Augie astutely observed, a boy would have to be so close to the TV screen to be reflected at that size that he would be visible in the photo.

3. It does look amazingly like a child's face, leaning towards boy, but it could easily be a girl too. The part that bothers me is that it only looks right from the eyes down. The brow ridge looks enormous to me. The top of the head is tiny. Could this be the ghost of a neaderthal kid? Who knows? We can make up any explanation, but this brow/head thing bothers me. It makes me wonder if the face is a relection of something normal that is creating an illusion of a face because of the low resolution in the picture. I would love to see a picture of the rest of the room. I think that might settle the question, although I am sure that it is impossible.

4. The two stories about the cousin or the man's unborn son are interesting and touching, but should not be taken into account when evaluating this photo. The natural response is to think: "Well, we have a story, and it shows there is a good reason for a ghost boy to be hanging around." That is not really acceptable supporting evidence though, because there is no way to demonstrate a real link between the story and the photo. Just because one thing happens in sequence after the other, even in the same place, that does not show a causal relationship. Think of it this way: Here we have two different stories that could possibly support the ghost picture. That makes it even more likely to be a real ghost, right? Wrong! The stories appeal to our emotions and desires, but they can't both be true. One has to be wrong. Yet, we see the people involved subscribing to one or the other of them as being supporting evidence or just accepting them as true. That is certainly their right, but it means that at least one person believes in something that is not true. They hold the believe based on poor evidence and personal desire. This example illustrates why there is no value in a story like this. The people are accepting the different stories as good evidence for the exact same reasons. But one has definately taken on a false belief by doing so. We can see this more plainly because there are two stories, but it would be exactly same if there where only one. When we pay attention to this sort of story, we are running a huge risk of misleading ourselves.

OK, I am done with my wet blanket routine. I will say that this is an exciting and mysterious looking photo, and real or not, I thank you for posting it for us to see!

Regards, Canis

Well I like the picture myself.. I just find a reflection hard to believe that would make it so clear and so distinct to look like a child, boy or girl in the television but you never know.. still it is a great picture.. shows the television off and everything.. I am impressed myself... what was captured.. thanks again for showing us Blue I enjoy your photos as well! smile.gif

TV ghosts are my favorite. Neat picture! My first thought when I saw the pic was also that the TV looked newer than 1981. I'd say late 80's or early 90's. However, they could be mistaken about the year and still have a valid capture, right?

But that was supposed to be the year he moved in and the aunts son died before 1981,I assume.

OMG I am sorry I messed this up. He had a few photos with stories and I posted the wrong year and info. This is what the OP wrote, again sorry..My brain is tired... “The photo was taken by me around 1996/97. The photo has bothered me for many years, its a real enigma. The story goes that I had recently moved into a basement flat in a large Victorian house in Nottingham. The flatwas only recently built in the basement so I was the first resident. I wassingle at the time (before my wife and children). I had been in the flat aweek and took a series of photos to show my gran how nice the flat was. Thephoto attached was the last one that I took and I immediately after locked upand left for the day. The TV was not switched on and there was no child or toyon the sofa – the are no tricks involved whatsoever.I knew nothing of the image until I went to pick up the photos from Flicks inWest Bridgford, it was the assistant who informed me of the image, andthereafter proceeded to tell me she was “into” paranormal and that such imagesoften appeared in TV’s.My view is that it looks like my little boy who was not even born at the time. However, my Gran is adamant it is her little boy Vincent (my second name) whodied as a baby – Guardian Angel perhaps? It’s all very odd.”
