Read something recently about Demons and Malicious Spirits can fool ordinary people into thinking they do not have malicious intent such as pretending to be the spirit of a close family member.

Can this also happen to mediums when they communicate with the dead?

I think about that a lot like when some mediums talk to dead famous people and stuff.

For the most part, I think mediums who claim to talk to celebrities are just trying to gain visibility by those claims. I don't necessarily think demons are real, but I'd think a REAL medium would be able to tell if a bad spirit is posing as something they're not. If you believe Amy Allan on Dead Files, she seems to be able to tell the difference

What a great question

You also find most well-known mediums know the benefits of following some form of spiritual protection and grounding.

Of course demons can fool mediums. They are fallen angels and therefore are on the same level of intelligence as angels. I can clarify details if needed, but I'm in class right now so I can't go into detail.
