This podcast was excellent by Jeff Belanger and Ray Auger. Check it out.

Quote

In Episode 70, Jeff Belanger and Ray Auger head to Boston to the haunted Parker House Hotel in search of the ghost of the man who brought Christmas to America. We learned in last year’s holiday podcast that the Puritans of Boston banned Christmas back in 1659 because they claimed to make merry and festive dressing was “satanic.” They’d fine you five shillings if caught! Though they lifted the ban in 1681, that doesn’t mean we started celebrating Christmas. You still had to go to work and school that day for almost the next two centuries. But something changed in 1867 when a man came to Boston with a story that transformed everything. Be careful; this episode may squish your inner Grinch!

Belanger is one of the few I like nowadays. Maybe it's because he doesn't flash his face in front of a camera looking for autographs or just that he's stayed humble after many years. Mac thanks for sharing this link.

I get his Ghost Village newsletter in the email every now and then. Apparently he's a consultant or something with Ghost Adventures
