Not so much haunted but creepy.   The island of the dolls is strange as hell.  Dolls and spirits reminds me of Chucky from Child's Play.

Quote

The Island of the dolls, located in the channels of Xochimilco, south of the center of Mexico City, very close to the Estadio Azteca football stadium, is a chinampa of the Laguna de Teshuilo and one of the main attractions of the channels.
Broken and deteriorated dolls of various styles and colors are found throughout the island, originally placed by the former owner of the island, Julián Santana Barrera. Julián believed that dolls helped to chase away the spirit of a girl drowned years ago. Santana drowned as well in the same place in 2001.[1]
History[edit]

The Island of the Dolls, originally owned by Don Julián Santana, is full of dolls hanging from trees and buildings covered with cobwebs and insects. The place was named during the 1950s when the owner began to hang them as protection against evil spirits. Santana was a neighbor of the Barrio de la Asunción, where he used to go to drink pulque after having sold his vegetables, until, due to superstitions, he began to preach the Bible, being expelled from the sector.[2][3]

Came across a video that others might find interesting. I can't vouch for authenticity. It's above my pay grade :)

FTR- I don't find anything creepy that's paranormal based. Humans on the other hand, OH YES!

Thanks Mr. Hermes

Yes, you do pay to watch the video if you go to the source, as in this case the channel owned by Destination Truth,. If you have Amazon you can buy the seasons or individual episodes. It also costs $1.99 per episode or $19.99 for a season. Season #3 - Episode 2 - Island Of The Dolls/Lusca.

I had a chance to watch that episode. Although I find Josh entertaining, the episode seemed to be fueled by paradrama which doesn't win a vote. A splash in the water was suggested to be unusual and subliminally suggestive of an unknown origin. I know this mentality drives views and sponsorship but to me it clutters real investigation. Although to most, true investigation would sell a one way ticket to no season two. Thanks Mac, you always encourage my curiosity.

Ghost Adventures was there some years back, and of course overdramatized everything per usual.

I suspect it's considered creepy because some people are just creeped out by dolls, and having them hanging everywhere has to up the creepiness some feel

I'd say Skinwalker Ranch is one of the creepiest places on earth -- and the most interesting, inasmuch as it pretty much runs the gamut of all things paranormal. UFO's, cryptids, portal opening up in the air with things coming out, ghostly activity, cattle mutilations and all kinds of odd activity. This leads to the likelyhood of all things paranormal having the same source. Things have happened there and been investigated for decades. Here's a recent article from the local paper:

http://www.ubmedia.b...1e0ebb7cec.html

And part two of the above article:

http://www.ubmedia.b...70e205dc7a.html

Jeremy Corbell recently made a documentary called (and named after the book) Hunt for the Skinwalker. This is especially good for those who don't really know much about the ranch. You can watch it on iTunes and Amazon Prime. You MAY be able to stream it from here as well:

Ok.  I watched the short video.  Very strange stuff happened there.  Too bad it was more so to Tom and his wife and not the NIDS team...

THe NIDS team did all sign an NDA of sorts. The Vegas reporter George Knapp, who originally broke the story in the 90's, has said many times he knows a lot, but isn't allowed to talk about them.  NDA involved there, but also he's likely protecting his sources. The links on the page I linked to should be for the whole documentary, I think it's around 2 hours long
