Hello everyone,
Long time lurked who finally decided to bite the bullet & join. Although I may have been a member many, many years ago under a different name. Anyways, I've had a lifelong interest in the weird, the different, the macabre, ranging from ghost stories & folklore to abandoned cemeteries & buildings to scary movies. I discovered my penchant for the strange while watching reruns of Night Gallery as a wee child (what were my parents thinking?) & have yet to lose my taste for it. At this point I doubt I ever will...

Welcome!

Night Gallery was similar to Twilight Zone, and was also hosted by Rod Serling

Yes, Night Gallery was similar to Twilight Zone. Rod Serling hosted the show & I'm sure he wrote some of the episodes. Check out the episode titled "The Doll", it haunted me for years.

Hello AshesofRoses I'm back online too after many years of being gone from the forums.
I used to watch the Night Gallery with my grandfather when I was a child. Gave me nightmares as a kid. The painting story still creeps me out to this day. Can't look at paintings with people in them the same way again.

Light and Shadow. A place where the line is blurred between both worlds.

Nothing is as it seems. Shadow doesn't always mean evil and light doesn't always mean divine.

Hey Gothickangel, I'm glad I'm not the only one who watched NG as a kid! Didn't every episode start with a painting? Some were pretty freaky, for sure.

:welcome:
I watched Night Gallery as well. I also enjoyed watching The Twilight Zone, Tales from The Darkside, Thriller, Edge of Reality, Tales of the Unexpected, Chillers, The Ray Bradbury Theater, and Patrick MacNee's Ghost Stories. On the radio, I remember listening to Inner Sanctum, The Shadow, and The Phantom.
