A New Yorkcouple was a little spooked when they checked the footage from a security camera in their living room late one night to find what they said looked like a ghostand a ghost dog, according to reports Wednesday.
Joey Nolan and his wife were checking on their sick cat via the camera just before 1 a.m. on Aug. 8. They claim they saw what appeared to be the faint outline of a person and a small animal, the New York Post reported.

The couple shared the footage with their friends and soon after a clip uploaded to YouTube and Reddit went viral.
Some viewers said the apparition looks like a boy and a dog, or a boy, girl and a dog, but Nolan thinks it could be his dead grandfather.
The sighting happened on the 20th anniversary of his grandfather’s death, and while he’s not sure it’s him, he said seeing it gave him comfort, according to the Post.

Skeptics, on the other hand, say they see a spider or a bit of dust.

I am not a photographic expert but if it isn't photoshopped it doesn't look like a spider or dust to me.

It looks very interesting so thanks for the share Lou

It's on the lens of the camera, bug and perhaps a cobweb as well

I agree, It does look like a web swinging in front of the lens.

Webs and bugs are the biggest culprit for mistaken ghosts on security cams.

I agree, spiderweb or cobweb. Could even be some hair from that fluffy kitty.

I thought it had to be something in front of the lens.  I could not even squint my eyes and see anything that was recognizable to me...

Skeptics see a spider or a bit of dust?  Does a foggy substance look like dust or a spider lol.

It's hard to tell what it is unless we do some video testing.  Where's my digital masters at, EVP solve this riddle. It could be fake video of someone doing some video photoshopping.

I was looking earlier at images on the net that were fake that look so darn real.  Impossible to tell them apart unless you do some type of image testing.

But calling it a spider or dust, when there's a clear foggy image in motion(not debating that its a ghost or not, not the point), leads me to say one thing for the extreme irrational skeptics.

Um, I looked at it without prejudiceness. And after viewing many other videos where the "ghostly" image looks like this one, they turned out to be spiders and their webs.

So ghostly images turned out to be a spider? hmm spider ghost? Were they photoshopped over?  I saw a rock the other day, mistaken it for a unicorn. You can easily see how obvious I made that mistake.  Grrrrr

Did I say it was photoshopped or that it was a spider's ghost? No, I didn't. What are you, ignorant of the concept of human decency?  I don't appreciate the sarcasm. Next time, I won't waste my time commenting on anything you post.

I just said it looked like a web, not it was defiantly  web.

But it works both ways, some people see a web and presume it's a ghost.
